August 2025 - Streamlining the Struggle Bus

 Life is all about perspective -- and to illustrate that, I'm going to suggest this picture I took of one of our ladies out in the field.  Your first inclination might be that the picture CLEARLY is oriented the wrong way, that I forgot to rotate it before posting.  Look again.... rotate your phone (if on mobile) so the bee is "right side up."  Betcha see pretty quick how wrong that looks now!  First impressions, eh?

So with that new perspective in mind, let's delve into this topsy turvy Spring and Summer we've been having and what it means for the bees, the honey, and (gulp) price adjustments.

Spring Update 2025

 

9 years ago TODAY we were taking advantage of nice early Spring weather to paint our new hives as we began our journey into beekeeping. We've gotten a lot better but are still surprised by what the ladies do now and then -- a constant challenge!  So far this year we think we're on top of our game and here's an update on where things stand and where things (we think) go for 2025:

Autumn 2023 - Sales Events and the Honey Numbers

I'm thankful to report that this Fall went better than... well, THE LAST FALL (inside joke there).  We have managed to manage less time in the apiary this year overall -- which is a win for us -- without losing too much on the honey production -- which is a win for yinz guys. Without further ado, let's get into how everything shook out in the end and where you can acquire this sweet, sweet treat in the weeks ahead.
